Welcome to the Pastures New Online Launch Party
Thank you for dropping by to say hello, however you've found me it's nice to see you here, and if you've bought the book, I'll love you forever.
As it's the festive season, do help yourself to a mince pie
and imbibe some traditional mulled wine.
And while you're here you can chat to the other guests, enter my competition, take a shot at a Root Shoot and Marry with a difference, and even buy a copy of the book if you so wish. For those who feel inclined I've left you some room to post a review (five star naturally) - I will accept duff ones, unless they are abominably rude in which case I reserve the right to eject you from this blog forthwith!
Other then that, hope you have fun here, and take it in the spirit it's intended. Thanks to all who have bought the book so far, and hope you all have a fine and festive Christmas.
My thanks go to my many wonderful friends in the Romantic Novelist's Association who continue to be such a great support. For those interested, the RNA's longlist for their major award has just been announced at: http://www.rna-uk.org/index.php?page=rnoty_award - do go and check it out!
And especial thanks to the Dream Team at Avon and my wonderful agent for making my dream come true!

Congrats on the launch! (My copy is winging its way - probably by carrier pigeon, the way Amazon works nowadays, but it is on its way...)
As I'm the first guest, I'll sneak into the kitchen and rustle up a batch of cheese stars for you. (Well trained - ex-PTA!)
Congrats from me too, Jules. I've brought some scrummy vegetable crisps with me. I'll put them next to Kate's stars on the table here.
Oh, and a box of tea bags, because You're going to have to keep refilling the pot.
Congratulations from me too. I look forward to reading your book.
I thought I would bring along a couple of plates of cucumber sandwiches.
Many congratulations, Jules - hope you're enjoying every moment.
Can I mix a festive Cosmopolitan or two (with Christmassy cranberry juice) and perhaps some yummy cranberry and brie filo pastry wotsits (watch them, they're hot!)?
Hello everyone and welcome. Do go and tell all your blogging friends....
Thanks for all yummy food. Eat, drink, enjoy, and play my RSM game... Kate Harrison it's not a Green Wing one this time!!
Can't wait to get my hands on a copy....in the meantine pass the yummy food!!!
Well it's a bit late, so all I have is tea.
But I raise it to you. Congratulations all round
Cheers!
Hullo Liz, nice to see you here. And you MT. Tea? What sort of drink do you call that????
Congratulations! And I'll have one of those mince pies, thanks. :)
Congrats, Jules! Well done. Enjoy it!
Congratulations and very well done!
Welcome, Kate, Lucy and Leatherdyke. Nice to see you all here. Don't get too drunk now...
Though so nice to only have a virtual hangover...
Try my New Zealand wines (well it would have been rude not to). The Pinot Noir is to die for, and the Sauvignon Blanc already pretty famous. Oh crap, I just spilt some on the book. Never mind, no-one noticed.
I followed PU's advice and came on over. I didn't know about the book so I'll have to explore and find out what it is.
Good luck with it and may you sell many copies.
I like the look of the mince pies but I'm teetotal so will eat them with tea.
Huh! Some people, invite them to your party and they spill wine on your book!!
PU New Zealand wines welcome. In fact, any wine welcome and then we can have Trollied Every Day of the Week Before Christmas, with the benefit of not having a hangover.
JMB, welcome welcome to my party. Sorry about the overindulgence on the alcohol front, but this is a house where you can always get a cup of tea. Btw I meant to add on yours and PU's blogs that we also take part in the whisky exchange as my husband's delightful patients often present him with bottles, which is all lovely and nice of them, but we don't drink the stuff. (I had an unfortunate experience involving doubles on top of rough wine and followed by doubles of southern comfort when I was a student. Haven't been able to touch it since!)
Now there are so many of you here, what are you all doing milling about not playing my party game for?
You have five heroes/heroines to choose from. Pick three to stay in your balloon and then choose which you should root shoot and marry. I've just realised I haven't played it myself yet... so better go and put in my contribution...
If you think that's the worst I've ever done at parties ...
That said, clearly I've had too many already to be playing drinking games, never mind antipodean ones with the title you have come up with. But I have sent you a competition entry and promise to be an extremely bad sport if I lose, particularly in this drunken state. It would be kinder if you don't tell me I haven't won until after Xmas, it would put a cloud over the day.
Incidentally I don't suppose whisky is very good for your teeth, looking at Mr McGowan, for example ...
These mince pies are delicious, but excuse me, that's Ralph Fiennes in the corner looking a bit lonely...
Congratulations on the book - may it do you proud! And have a very good Christmas. x
PU. I'd probably better not ask!! (And I'm sure you're right about whisky!)
Sarah. Lovely to see you hear.
And Happy Christmas to one and all!!!
Congrats on the launch! Found you through Liz Fenwick's blog.
Sarah, step away from Ralph Fiennes, d'you hear? Or else...
Oops. I knew that third glass of pinot would do me in.
Hello Wordtryst, thank you for your kind words and welcome.
Hmm. I don't remember inviting Ralph Fiennes, but I won't look a gifthorse in the mouth...
